Hard to believe but April 1st is our 20th anniversary. From a small, unknown shop to a mid-sized agency known for doing great work and for being a great place to work (especially if you play softball). To all of our employees, past & present, thank you for making M+P what it is today.

Volunteers of America

 
M+P partnered with Volunteers of America for initiatives designed to help give back to the community. Merkley volunteered at Birthday Wishes parties for kids living in NYC homeless shelters. Agency volunteers set-up arts & crafts and celebrated 14 kids' birthdays ranging in age from 1 to 15 years old.


 


 
 
 
 


 
Operation Backpack 2012

 
For the second year in a row, M+P participated in Operation Backpack and donated over 40 filled backpacks to children in need. This year, a record-breaking 13,500 backpacks were distributed to elementary school children in over 100 homeless and domestic violence shelters.


 


 
 
 
 


 
Four time Champions!

 
For the first time in league history, M+P softball takes home the New York Advertising Co-ed Softball League (NYACSL) championship for the fourth consecutive year! Congratulations!


 


 
 
 
 


 
Toys and Coats For the Holidays

 
M+P employees showed their holiday spirit once again in 2011 by contributing over 50 toys to Volunteers of America’s Holiday Gift Drive and over 40 gently used jackets and coats to New York Cares.

M+P partners with Smart USA

 
Merkley+Partners collaborated to form one Agency team with Razorfish and Sage Collective to win the smart USA business. The integrated campaign is in development and will launch on September 19th.


 


 
 
 
 


 
Three-peat!

Engagement is more important than numbers.

 
M+P just launched client O’Charley’s Facebook page in January, 2011, but it already ranks #4 on Expion’s ranking of top 10 chains with the highest percentage of active fans. Nation’s Restaurant News reports that “Executives at several restaurant chains say cultivating a core of actively engaged fans…increases their return on marketing investment.”


 


 
 
 
 


 
Operation Backpack 2011

 
M+P was proud to contribute to Volunteers of America’s 2011 Operation Backpack, which collected a record-breaking 8,000 backpacks, which were distributed to elementary school children in over 100 homeless and domestic violence shelters.


 


 
 
 
 


 
Our 2011 Interns

 
Merkley + Partners hosted an interns mixer the afternoon of Monday, August 8th to wrap up the 2011 summer internship program. Throughout the internship there were weekly meetings with new business, Lunch & Learns, and the shadowing of someone outside of the department of internship. The program wrapped up with a final new business pitch by the interns in The Fruit Troop (Red Mango) and Team Halffull (Skinnygirl cocktails).
